Jake Plummer: Anti-War Activist
Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer fought the NFL last year when he wanted to honor former teammate Pat Tillman by wearing his number on his jersey. Now Plummer, longer-maned and looking awfully MoveOn.Org-y, is taking on a larger target: The government. Plummer is clearly still very upset with the military's duping of Tillman's family.
From an interview with Plummer on ESPN last night:
It doesn t make me feel good to see how things have been twisted. They exploited him and made him into a big time hero and icon, and completely lied to his family about it. They covered things up. It doesn t make me feel good about our government, or our military. I'm still supportive of our troops. And I'm still against the war.
