Hassan Whiteside puts his Miami Beach mansion up for sale for $19.5 million
Iconic former NBA player Hassan Whiteside has decided to turn a page in his life by parting with his lavish Miami Beach mansion. Located in the posh Lakeview neighborhood, this real estate gem is currently on sale for $19.5 million.
A masterpiece of modern architecture
Built in 2014, this 502 sq. m. mansion captivates with its clean lines and avant-garde style. Upon entering, a koi pond greets visitors and plunges them straight into a soothing atmosphere before they even step through the main door. The mansion's interior is equally spectacular. From the high ceilings to the floating glass and wood staircase, everything is fascinating! What's more, every living space is bathed in natural light.
The residence comprises 6 luxurious bedrooms, including a master suite designed as an exclusive haven of peace. It features an immense dressing room and a refined bathroom, complemented by a terrace with Jacuzzi and breathtaking water views. There are 6 further luxury bathrooms.
An entertainment paradise
In addition to its stunning architectural beauty, this manor house is designed for pleasure and relaxation. Outside, a large pool overlooks the water, accompanied by a summer kitchen, bar, fireplace and covered dining room. The red spiral staircase linking the various exterior levels enhances the elegant, ultra-modern feel of the residence.
Inside, the retired basketball player's prestigious home boasts a high-end home cinema, a fully equipped fitness room and a rooftop terrace with views of Biscayne Bay. Then there's the private dock that gives access to the Intracoastal Waterway and the bay. It's enough to make any boating enthusiast dream.
Hassan Whiteside, a player with an ambitious real estate portfolio
Hassan Whiteside, 35, has made his mark in the NBA, most notably with Miami Heat, where he played from 2014 to 2019. But alongside his successful sporting career, he also shines through his well-considered real estate investments. In 2022, he bought a penthouse in The Standard Residences for $1.2 million.
As for this $19.5 million mansion, it turns out that it belongs to a trust managed by Joseph McLean, a wealth manager specializing in athletes' finances. Hassan acquired it in 2016 for $7.3 million. Now he's selling it for almost three times that price.
